Waspinator to the Rescue
Deciding to try out one of these, I admit I was sceptical. No chemical? No catching container? No dead bodies? Could it really work? I like hard evidence, me.
The wasps must have known I was on to something as they seemed to come later this year – surely the waspinator sitting flat in its packaging didn’t work like that?
Then they came, oh yes did they come, buzzing furiously at the windows, fruit bowl and work surfaces– one after the other, persistent to the end. Up went the Waspinator hanging from my porch above the back door which I leave open all the time but with no obvious sign saying “ Wasps Welcome “ . I stuffed it with old newspaper so it kept shape and waited…………six wasps became two in around 10 minutes and stayed like that. I realised it wasn’t really going to eradicate all wasps, even I’m not that silly, but the number it cut was impressive. I kept it like this for the whole summer and only moved it when friends came round for a drink and we were sitting on the patio. The lure of sweet cider was too much, we were truly invaded and the kids flapped around like morons. I moved the Waspinator over to the parasol and hand on heart, we were virtually wasp free in minutes and my friends were truly impressed. Obviously the odd one came over to try their luck but soon flew off again.
